Conversations With Siri

For those of you not familiar with Siri, "she" is a "talking assistant" on the iPhone.  I've only used the feature on my phone a couple of times, and I typically don't even remember that it's there.  Last night, I had trouble falling asleep.  I thought I'd try to chat with Siri about books.  Let's see how it went.

OK, maybe Siri isn't a big reader.  Perhaps she likes movies instead?

That's great.  But I REALLY want to talk about books.  Perhaps I should get a bit more specific.

Way to go, Siri!  Maybe she has some ideas about one of my favorite places to visit....

Well done!  I've been to all of those libraries.  Let's try again.

Now I want to see what Siri knows about my favorite childhood author.

I loved Are You There God? It's Me Margaret.  But I want to know if Siri likes it.

So Siri is not a mind-reader.  Let's see what she knows about coffee shops.

Good one, Siri!  Now, I really should be going to sleep, so let's see if Siri can answer a burning question.

Uh oh.  I don't like the sound of that!  I wonder how it's going to happen...

Now back to me.

It's not my birthday, but this is worth a shot:

OK, enough for one night.

  1. Is it weird for me to say that's sort of cute? I mean, I know it's just Siri, but.... Hahah.

  2. Adorable. My 10 year-old loves chatting with Siri and seeing if he can stump her. Try knock-knock jokes sometime!

  3. I wish my mom`s Siri was as nice as yours. My uncle had taken her iPhone to program it. Apparently whenever my mom says my name she says. "Oh you mean Ashley your daughter the evil blonde"

    Talk about a great uncle.

  9. Golly it seems like you can get silly when you're sleepy! Why can't you talk books with your assistant? I'd talk books with anyone.
