September New Releases

September New Releases: Time to Bulk Up Your TBR

Not a Drop to Drink by Mindy McGinnis: If you read just one book this month, THIS should be it.  This is the best book I've read in 2013.  There are still a few months left, but I'll be surprised if another book can surpass it.  You can check out my 5 star review here, and check back next week, because I'm going to give away the ARC!

All Our Yesterdays by Cristin Terrill: Another fantastic book that I can highly recommend.  If you enjoy time travel, you'll want to check this out.  My review is here.

Project Cain by Geoffrey Girard: You might want to pass on this.  Cloned serial killers sounded like a...killer concept, but it read more like a Wikipedia entry than an actual story.  You can see my review here.

This Song Will Save Your Life by Leila Sales: A great story of bullying and a girl who feels like an outcast.  Music (not a guy) helps her to overcome it.  My review is here.

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell: All the raving is justified.  My review is here.

The Waking Dark by Robin Wasserman: This cover gives me a strong sense of deja vu.  And both of these sort of look like...

Thin Space by Jody Casella

Countdown by Michelle Rowen: Another deja vu cover.  I just hope it's better than Article 5.

The Chaos of Stars by Kiersten White: I'm a little afraid to read this because I don't think any of my blogger friends enjoyed this book, and I didn't like White's Mind Games all that much.

Antigoddess by Kendare Blake: I'm very excited to start reading this (hopefully this weekend!), and thank you to @Kris10Williams for giving me an ARC!.

The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black: Love the cover, love the title.

Find Me by Romily Bernard: An exciting story about a teenage hacker.

Victoria Schwab signing Vicious at BEA
Vicious by Victoria Schwab: This was one of the books I most wanted to get at BEA.  I stood on line for over an hour and a half for it, and I hope it was worth the wait!

Brandon Sanderson signing Steelheart at BEA
Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson: Another great BEA acquisition.  And I'm giving away an ARC!

3:59 by Gretchen McNeil: This has been sitting on my bookshelf for a while, quietly calling my name.

The Burning Sky by Sherry Thomas: The main character is named Iolanthe Seabourne.  That alone makes me want to read it.

Scorched by Mari Mancusi: Any chance this girl is NOT a complete ass-kicker?

The 100 by Kass Morgan: I was so excited to read this, but it was pretty disappointing.  I read a lot of series, but I felt so cheated by this.  It felt incomplete - more like a teaser than a full story.

Elizabeth Wein at BEA
Rose Under Fire by Elizabeth Wein: I still haven't read Code Name Verity, but this is a companion novel, not a sequel.  I still hope to read CNV soon!

Margot by Jillian Cantor: This story imagines Anne Frank's sister's life, if she'd survived the Holocaust.

The Incrementalists by Steven Brust and Skyler White: This story imagines Anne Frank's sister's life, if she'd survived the Holocaust.

Lots of other books are being released, but my hand is sore from typing!  Which of these September releases are on your TBR?  And what are you dying to read that I did not include?

  1. I'm still tossing around my mind the idea of reading The Chaos of Stars. I'm not sure if I'll be into it, but the plot is very inviting.

    1. There have been some not-so-great reviews, so I can't say I'm looking foward to it. But I hope it will surprise me.
