Enter below to win an ARC of Not a Drop to Drink!
If you have not yet read Not a Drop to Drink, you are in for a treat. This was THE BEST book I've read this year. I'm excited for the chance to give this to someone else who will hopefully love it as much as I did. (You can read my raving 5 star review here.)
Lynn knows every threat to her pond: drought, a snowless winter, coyotes, and, most importantly, people looking for a drink. She makes sure anyone who comes near the pond leaves thirsty, or doesn't leave at all.
Confident in her own abilities, Lynn has no use for the world beyond the nearby fields and forest. Having a life means dedicating it to survival, and the constant work of gathering wood and water. Having a pond requires the fortitude to protect it, something Mother taught her well during their quiet hours on the rooftop, rifles in hand.
But wisps of smoke on the horizon mean one thing: strangers. The mysterious footprints by the pond, nighttime threats, and gunshots make it all too clear Lynn has exactly what they want, and they won’t stop until they get it….
With evocative, spare language and incredible drama, danger, and romance, debut author Mindy McGinnis depicts one girl’s journey in a barren world not so different than our own.

I'd go with coconut water. It's decent (taste wise) but still really good for you. :)
ReplyDeleteIced tea for sure! Thank you so much for the chance to win! I want to read this book REALLY badly!! :-)
ReplyDeleteProbably Real's or Tropicana's fruit juices.
ReplyDeleteFor me, I would say also coconut water like That Girl Reads. :)

Raspberry Lime rickeys!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Dole's strawberry Orange banana juice. I'm addicted!
ReplyDeleteI'd probably drink lemonade :)
ReplyDeleteI've actually read this book and just wanted to tell the entrants to your giveaway that the book is one of the best books I've read and I do read a lot. I really can't rave enough about this book!
ReplyDeleteSame here, Jeanz! I can't wait to see what McGinnis writes next.
DeleteI suppose I'd have to go with Diet Coke, though I'd actually prefer unsweetened iced tea. It's just that there are no manufactured iced teas I've found that taste decent yet. I could also go with Zero water. Yes, let's take that one. It's better for me and tastes decent. Gee, decisions, decisions, all because of the lack of tap water. I really want to read this book. Thanks for the chance to win. michelle_willms@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteIf you have a Trader Joe's in your area, I'd recommend their tea. It's not as good as fresh-brewed tea, but it's pretty darn tasty.
DeleteHmmm... No water? OH MAN. That's all I drink! I guess I'd do orange juice. :) Thanks for the giveaway!

I'd say Coke, but honestly I'm not sure that I could drink that much sugar all the time. So, maybe lemonade.

I'd say green tea, Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI'd say...milk. Or lemonade (though the sugar rush would be woaaaah). ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge green tea drinker. Or else good old orange juice (:
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
I'd choose diet coke.
ReplyDeleteHmm... Coke, tea, or cranberry juice.
ReplyDeleteI like Dr. Pepper Cherry... Mmmm....
ReplyDeleteNo water? There's buko(coconut) juice! Refreshing!!
ReplyDeleteTea, hot or iced. Its all good.
ReplyDeleteI would drink lemonade! Thanks for the giveaway :)
