Dewey's 24 Hour-Read-a-Thon - October 2013

This weekend, I'm participating in Dewey's 24 Hour Read-a-Thon!  This is my second time, and I've got a couple of books that have breathing down my shoulder, and today, it would be great to get them read.

INTRODUCTION
Q. What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
A. Charlotte, North Carolina.  It's going to be a beautiful day outside today, even though it's a bit dark as I write this (7:30 AM).

Q. Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?
A. Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes.  I need to read the ARC of the sequel, Rebel Spring, within the next two weeks, so it would probably be a good idea to read the first book!

Q. Which snack are you most looking forward to?
A. Mini chewy Sweet-Tarts

Q. Tell us a little something about yourself!
A. I love zombies, and I'm ecstatic that the 4th season of The Walking Dead starts tomorrow!

Q. If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?
A. Take a break or a nap if I need to.  I can't stay up the whole time, because my family is coming to visit tomorrow, and they probably would not appreciate it if I spent the whole time in bed recovering.

UPDATES
Final Results: I didn't do anymore reading after the last update, but two books read (678 pages) is great for me.  I had lots of fun with the mini-challenges, which you can check out here.

12:30 AM EST (16.5 hours in): I didn't think I would do it, but I just finished book # 2 - Falling Kingdoms!  I'm feeling wide awake, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to start on another book.

4 PM EST (8 hours in): I finished my first book, The Dollhouse Asylum by Mary Gray!  Sadly, I didn't enjoy it.  I'm now 50 pages into Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes, and I'm happy to say it's great so far.

You can check out my mini-challenges here.

12 PM EST (4 hours in): I've read 130 pages of The Dollhouse Asylum by Mary Gray, participated in a few mini-challenges, taken a shower (yay!), and now it's time for lunch.
