Bout of Books 8.0 Read-a-thon

Since I'm currently participating in the ARC August read-a-thon, it makes perfect sense to simultaneously participate in the Bout of Books 8.0 read-a-thon.  Double the books, double the fun, right?  OK, I WON'T be reading double the books, but I do hope I can double the fun.

Want to join in?  Here's what you need to know: Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 19th and runs through Sunday, August 25th.  Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 8.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog.

Goals:
I'm going to try to read for 3 hours per day.  In between reading, work, and  regular ol' life, I'll have to keep up with normal blog responsibilities - in particular, getting caught up on reviews!

I'm aiming to read three books during the read-a-thon from among the following:
Updates:
Sunday, THE END!: I finished Just Like Fate (and posted my 2 star review.)  Grand total - 4 books read, which is great for me.  I also participated in a few mini-challenges during the week.  Goal for next Bout of Books will be five books!

Saturday: Best day so far!  I finished Find Me, read The Bitter Kingdom, and I am halfway through Just Like Fate.

Friday: I read half of Find Me.

Thursday: I read...nothing.  I'm going to step it up tomorrow.

Wednesday, 11 PM: Finished The Crown of Embers!  Continuing with Find Me.  I also participated in the book spine poetry challenge.  (I always love that challenge!)

Tuesday, 11 PM: I've read 50% of The Crown of Embers and 8% of Find Me.  I've also participated in today's mini-challenge, where I re-titled The Crown of Embers here.  (Hint: They're probably better off with the original.

Good luck to everyone participating!

  2. Hey! You did have a great day. I had the perfect quiet reading day myself and was able to read an entire book today, which is a rare treat for me. Enjoy your last day with the read-a-thon.
